I found the log this table was made from beside the road between my friend’s house and home. The power line company had taken the tree down and left it lying there. At first, I was rather doubtful about how this new kind of wood was going to turn out but I was pleasantly surprised. Hackberry handles a lot like ash and looks very similar.

The legs are made with dovetail mortise and tenon joinery. Lots of fun.
